On Fathers’ Day, June 16, 2019, members of the Canadian West Region of the Porsche Club of America will hold their annual Show and Ride fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis in Dundarave Village in West Vancouver.

First held in 2006 and with support from local and corporate sponsors, this charitable event raises money for medical research to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis, a deadly genetic disease affecting mainly children and young adults across Canada.

Over the years this show continues to prove its popularity both with the PCA-CWR membership and members of public who turned out in large numbers to see the great variety of Porsche models on display in Dundarave Village in West Vancouver.

Event Details

Starting at 10:00am and until 1:00pm the event features a Show ‘n Shine display  of as many as 100 Porsches of all models and years in both curb lanes of the 2400 block on Marine Drive in Dundarave Village. By special permission of the District of West Vancouver through traffic in both directions on Marine Drive will be limited to the centre lanes only.

1:00pm marks the  the start of a parade style drive up scenic Cypress Mountain by participating Porsche owners and terminating with a photo session at the first overflow parking lot at the top of Cypress. Between 10:00am and 1:00pm the public will have an opportunity to secure a ride up Cypress in the Parade drive with selected Porsches  on display by making a donation to Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

The Venue

Dundarave Village is a quaint, friendly shopping destination located along the 2400 block of Marine Drive in West Vancouver. Anchored by the IGA food store on the North East side and by Shoppers Drugmarkt on the South East it features a number of art galleries, small eateries including the Bake House, The Truffle House & Cafe and coffee shops such as Delany’s Coffee House and Starbucks as well as the Red Lion pub, and restaurants such as the Beach House and many other specialty shops and business that might be of interest, including the Libations Wine store, the Eurohouse showroom and the new Bosley’s pet store.

And it is a great place for a day’s family outing, with a sandy, family oriented beach with a children’s playground right next to the Dundarave Pier, and  where you will also find the  start of the SeaWalk,   a beautiful waterfront walk that stretches from Dundarave Village all the way to Ambleside Beach.
